No. Quartzite is a quarried natural stone; quartz countertops are engineered surfaces. They have different patterns and care requirements. Compare the actual products rather than relying on the similarity of their names.
Does quartzite need sealing?
Some quartzites benefit from a sealer because their absorption varies. Ask about your exact slab and any treatment already applied. Sealing can improve stain resistance, but spills should still be cleaned promptly.
Can quartzite etch like marble?
True quartzite resists ordinary kitchen acids. However, some stones sold under quartzite names are marble or other materials, and treatments also need appropriate care. Confirm the stone’s identity and care requirements before choosing.
Can quartzite be used for a waterfall island?
